Rocky mountains, loud waterfalls: Pristine, rough nature
Chapada dos Guimarães is a rocky plateau with canyons, caves, rivers, and waterfalls. The Véu da Noiva waterfall is the biggest. The Mirante vantage point, the geographical center of South America, is another attraction. In the recreational area of Salgadeira, where several rivers flow together, little waterfalls form small pools. On the way there is the Portal do Inferno (Gate of Hell).
