The only Turkish islands in the Aegean sea
Nearly all Aegean islands belong to Greece. Bozcaada and the larger Gökçeada are two of the rare exceptions. The always windy island Bozcaada is famous for its wine and fresh fish. Many people from Istanbul have bought houses here in recent years and lovingly restored them. The island Gökçeada (Imbros) is perfect for biking tours and hikes.
