This museum's name says it all: it contains only Russian art and has over 400,000 exhibits, including 15,000 paintings. It was founded in 1895 by Czar Nicholas II who had the classical Mikhailovsky Palace converted for this purpose. Michael Garden, an amazing landscape park, also belongs to the place and can be found at the back of it.
