This is where the subcontinent ends and the ocean surges up from the Antarctic in the south. Places of special worship exist in Kanyakumari (Cape Comorin) and the natural solemnity cannot be harmed by narrow buildings, either hotels or guesthouses, or the strong pilgrim tourism. There is a crossing to an offshore rocky cliff where a tall Indian philosopher and founder of Hinduism, Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902), was given an imposing memory place (he had meditated there) It is highly recommended.
