Gokarna travel guide

This sleepy pilgrimage town is increasingly becoming the chilled-out alternative to Goa - with less trance music, less drug-fueled insanity and fewer tourists overall, it's easy to lose track of time here. The town itself doesn't offer much, but most people make a beeline for the beach anyway. There are four main beaches in Gokarna, two of which are only accessible by foot or boat; the more remote the beach, the more basic the accomodation.
