In the middle of a lush deciduous forest there is a high battlement. Standing at the end of the only entrance in the south, you’ll be fascinated by the incredible beauty, tranquility, and harmony of the place. The main church Sveta Bogorodica (Holy Mother of God) is the centerpiece and crown of the art treasures. It’s a combination of an old basilica with three naves and an Italian dome church. The Rila Restaurant, which serves Bulgarian dishes, is right next to the monastery.
