Completely renovated tradesman village, unique in Bulgaria
The entire village near Veliko Târnovo represents one of the historical monuments of Veliko Târnovo, and it has been named a historical landmark as well. Houses surrounded by solid stone walls with iron gates and barred windows make it look like a fortress from outside. The interior furnishings are quite different, with dainty wood carvings, beautiful tiles, and richly painted walls. Ten houses have been restored; two were made into museums, one of which is the Dragostinov House. The nativity church is well worth a visit. The Arbanasi Palace Hotel offers the best view across the valley.
