Finca Mañacas: the beautiful estate of Fidel Castro's parents gives insight into his youth
Anyone curious about how and where Fidel Castro spent the first 14 years of his life can visit Finca Mañacas, his parents' estate in Holguín province. The impressive ranch includes no fewer than 26 buildings, among them a reconstructed version of the main house, which burned down in 1954, where Cuba's former head of state was born on August 13, 1926.
