Gislaved Municipality (Gislaveds kommun) is a municipality in Jönköping County in southern Sweden, with its seat located in the town Gislaved.
The present municipality was formed in 1974, when a lot of former municipalities were amalgamated. The number of entities in the area in 1863 was seventeen.
It credits itself to be cultural and highly industry dominated, as being part of the Gnosjöregion, a high spirited industry area with a high employment and enterprising. (...) more....
