De Nieuwe Kerk

De Nieuwe Kerk

by Marco Polo

The New Church is used for exhibitions and concerts because of a lack of believers. Choir and gallery of the late Gothic basilica were created from 1408 onwards, construction of the nave of the church was commenced around 1435. Furnishings originate from the 17th century. The grave of the poet/writer Joost van den Vondel is located in the church.
