On the way to northern Norway, many tourists don’t pay any attention to the cathedral and university town of Trondheim. The coast and inland of northern Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag have a lot to offer. The mountains in the south of the region are popular for skiing and hiking, the widely ramified Fjord of Trondheim is lined by wide fields with some of the best salmon rivers of the country.
