Northern Sweden
The high north of Sweden offers extraordinary natural spectacles throughout the whole year. In the middle of June, the sun shines around the clock in the north of Sweden. In the winter, it’s almost completely dark and ice cold all day long. That’s when polar lights are visible in the sky – a unique natural spectacle making the 2000 km trip from the south of the country to the north of Lapland worth the effort. During the summer months, lidos \only about 100 km from the Polar Circle attract many people. The inland – also known as the ‘last wilderness of Europe’ – is a perfect terrain for extensive hikes lasting several days.
