The centre of France has many promising regions and landscapes: Burgundy, a treasury of Romantic art, and a paradise for all those seeking mental or physical stimulation. A must-see is the amazing road along the Loire between Orléans and Tours, where famous castles and palaces are lined up like pearls on a string: Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Blois, Chambord, Chenonceau, etc.
