The Capital and the “Island”.
Paris has always held a special place in people’s hearts: No other city is such a perfect blend of all the country’s individual characteristics. Its 2,15 million inhabitants consider it the centre of the world, and Paris caters to every budget and taste. The only things you can’t get here are wide, open spaces and rural tranquillity. But that is easily found outside of the city, in the Île-de-France. A daytrip via train or metro takes you to many sights and sounds.
