This town is in a picturesque location on the western slopes of the Tiber valley. A network of narrow streets criss-crosses the historic centre in which a delightful jumble sale takes place every Sunday. Anghiari became famous through the battle of 1440, which can be seen on Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting in Florence.
