Cittadella e Arsenale Repubblicano

Cittadella is a medieval walled city founded in the thirteenth century which started life as a military outpost of Padua. The surrounding wall has been restored and is 1461m in circumference with a diameter of around 450m. There are four gates which roughly correspond the 4 points of the compass.
Today Cittadella is a town in the province of Padua, Veneto, Italy.
