The abbey church Santa Maria (from 1220 onwards) of the Cistercian monastery located at the southern edge of the city, has retained a lot of its early Gothic appearance of the French school, including a nice cloister. Frescoes in Giotto style and the carved choir stalls are some of the things worth seeing inside.
