Gold and silver splendour in St. Mark's Cathedral.

The church, which is around 1000 years old and has five domes, has a splendour which bewitches the senses. Its interior features the richly adorned iconostasis, the high altar with the sarcophagus of Saint Mark and the treasure vault featuring the richest byzantine gold and silver treasures in the world.
