The historic eye-catching sight of this industrial town and port is the cathedral on Monte Guasco which is dedicated to St Cyriacus. It is one of the most interesting Romanesque churches in Italy with a Byzantine influence. The atrium with its columns resting on lions is particularly beautiful.
