Palazzo Reale

The large royal palace is situated on the classical Piazza del Plebiscito, which was once a parade and fair ground and today is an elegant promenade for strolling. It was built in 1602 under the Spanish viceroys. The complex features rooms, a theatre and gardens which you can visit. The magnificent stairwell was built in 1727.
