Manneristic architecture and baroque paintings.
The palace built in 1540 is a masterpiece of Italian Mannerism. The statue of Mars seems huge and distant, although the passageway is only 9 m long and the statue 1 m high. There is also an optical illusion - the colonnades seem to get smaller further back. Let yourself be confused by the perspective reflections in the inner courtyard.
Borromini's optical illusion is definitely worth seeing! is the official entrance to art history, architecture student / students etc. Free ... We told them we just told all the students and they were very nice and have let in without identification checks would be;)
