The Capitoline Museums were the world's first public exhibition spaces, founded on the Capitoline Hill in 1471 by Pope Sixtus IV. They contain unique antiquities and numerous busts of emperors and philosophers. Don't miss visiting the cafeteria on the roof garden (also open to people not visiting the museum): the view is spectacular!
