Raffael, Caravaggio and co.
This Pinacoteca together with the di Brera is considered as the richest of the city and as one of the important picture collections of the whole of Italy. The monumental preliminary drawing by Raffael for the fresco "School of Athens" (1509) in the papal residential quarters in the Vatican is kept here for instance.
