This town, picturesquely located on a peninsula, has a fabulous view and a lovely promenade, bedecked with flowers. One of the region's first golf courses was built nearby in 1939. Surfing conditions are ideal here and there are plenty of cafés as well.

If Rome is a giant open-air museum, then Milan is a huge open-air catwalk. Here it's not pleasure that is indulged, as elsewhere in Italy...
