Terlan (Terlano) (Italian: Terlano; German: Terlan; Ladin: Terlan; Latin: Torilanum; many of the region's Italian languages/dialects use Terlan) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 50 km north of the city of Trento and about 9 km northwest of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,784 and an area of 18.7 km².
The municipality of Terlan (Terlano) contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Settequerce and Vilpiano.
