Deutschnofen (Nova Ponente) (Italian: Nova Ponente; German: Deutschnofen; Archaic (1209 AD): Nova Teutonica; Archaic (1175 AD): Nova; Latin: Nova) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 30 km north of the city of Bolzano, on the border with Austria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,670 and an area of 112.0 km².
The municipality of Deutschnofen (Nova Ponente) contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Petersberg (Monte San Pietro) and St. Nikolaus/Eggen (San Nicolò d'Ega).
Deutschnofen (Nova Ponente) borders the following municipalities: Aldino, Bolzano, Bronzolo, Cornedo all'Isarco, Laives, Nova Levante, Predazzo (TN), Tesero (TN), Varena (TN).
