Colleferro is a small town of the province of Rome or metropolitan area of Rome, in the Lazio region of central Italy. It is also a new residential zone of the metropolitan area of Rome where are located many different industries and a lot of sport structures.
The day of October,9 2007,in the town of Colleferro,one person was killed and eight were injured in an explosion at a British-owned weapons factory belongs to Simmel Defense, which manufactures ammunitions, explosives, missile warheads and rockets for the armed forces in Italy and abroad., emergency services said.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear.
A fire brigade spokesman said at least one of the eight people injured was suffering from serious burns. (...)
