In the 17th century, Duke Caracciolo wanted a more attractive image for his town than that of a medieval one. It was redesigned and today it displays the exuberant face of baroque and rococo architecture. On a stroll around you will encounter the mighty Palazzo Ducale and lots of pretty townhouses.
