One of the most attractive and interesting towns in the Piedmont region is Asti. The medieval townscape has been almost completely preserved in the town centre, with only a few baroque buildings "disturbing" the array of patrician buildings, house towers and Gothic churches, such as the Church of San Secondo on the market square.
