Temple Bar

During the 19th century, Temple Bar was the artisans' quarter and then became a slum. In the 1970s and 1980s it was home to an alternative scene and, in 1991, it was restored at great expense. Today, Temple Bar is considered to be Dublin's cultural quarter and in the evenings it becomes "Ireland's longest bar".
