Nestled in the shadow of Arthur's seat, Sheep Heid claims to have been around since 1360, the oldest public house in Scotland. The claims may well be true, and that alone makes this bar worth visiting. Besides, they serve very appetizing snacks and food and have a large and changing variety of ales. They also have a fine beer garden in the summer. Wednesday nights are quiz nights, and there is great music here. They also have the only remaining Victorian skittle alley, which they let out for parties too. This is one place that truly lives up to its famed reputation.
