London Eye

The capsules on the world's tallest big wheel offer you an unbeatable view of the city.

The highest big wheel of the world (135 m) exceeding Big Ben on the other side of the Thames. The 32 glass cabins (for 25 passengers each) provide a fantastic view of the city. One revolution takes 30 minutes. Even more elegant: a champagne ride (£ 29.50): clink glasses above the roofs of London.

This is one of the newer attractions, and affords great views of the entire city. The tickets are a bit expensive, but you can often find two-for-one deals if you search online ahead of time. They also have a free 4-D show near the ticket line...well worth it; it's full of magical surprises!

It's best to go to the London Eye on a Sunday morning because then it's not that crowded yet!

Open your eyes, we are floating over the capital of the world! 'The eye of London', also known as the 'Millennium Wheel' has a height of about 135 meters and is Europe's highest Ferris wheel.

The queues were very discouraging and we didn't have enough time. But even the sight of the big wheel which elegantly sits by the river, is worth a look!
