Cleopatras Needle

This pink-grey obelisk from Heliopolis In Egypt stands on the Victoria Embankment. It was built 1450 BC, making it the oldest monument in London. The Egyptian viceroy's 180 t present was brought to London by tug in 1878 causing enormous transportation problems.
