London's most famous cemetery: twisting paths lead past overgrown graves with dramatic grave figures. Karl Marx's grave features a bronze bust on a huge granite block with the inscription "Workers of all Lands unite". The western, more enchanting part of the cemetery with its Gothic grave sculptures and mausoleums may only be visited as part of a guided tour.
