Millennium Bridge

Millennium Bridge

by Marco Polo

Pedestrian-only steel suspension bridge crossing the Thames linking Bankside with the City

The first new bridge to be built across the Thames for over a hundred years, linking St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tate Modern. The design of the 325 m long bridge is modelled on a ray of light. Since the bridge frequently used to sway, shock absorbers were installed in 2002.
