Rhoose

Rhoose (Y Rhws) is a village located near the sea (the Bristol Channel) in the Vale of Glamorgan, near Barry in south Wales.
It is home to Morgan Barrett and Cardiff International Airport (originally known as 'Rhoose Airport', then Glamorgan, 'Rhoose Airport'), a Holiday Park (Fontygary), some shops, three public houses (The Fontygary Inn, The Mayflower and the Highwayman), Rhoose Social Club, and an active Surf Life Saving Club (Rhoose Lifeguards).
Rhoose is one of the fastest growing villages in the Vale of Glamorgan, with the two newest developments being "The Hollies", and more recently, Rhoose Point. Rhoose Point is the most southerly point of mainland Wales, Offering stunning views over the channel to Somerset and beautiful coastal walks. Rhoose railway station, which was scheduled to re-open in 2003, suffered numerous bureaucratic delays before eventually re-opening in June 2005, There are now regular train services to Cardiff and Bridgend via Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan.
