The town which is situated on the shore of Derwent Water is a holiday centre in the Lake District. Keswick is a good starting point for walking tours. It also has a wide selection of restaurants and provides plenty of things to do on rainy days. The "Cumberland Pencil Museum" is well worth a visit.
