Since the 16th century, Harrogate's mineral springs have made it one of northern England's most popular spa resorts. The old Royal Pump House above the biggest sulphur spring is now a museum. Big parks such as Valley Gardens are perfect for strolling and the springs still flow at Fountain Court.
