If you are not into sports, you can walk around Leicester Lanes – narrow shopping streets, full of multi-cultural shops very close to all the Victorian buildings in the city centre. Furthermore, you might sit down in one of the fabulous cafés. After an exhausting shopping trip you can take your bags and enjoy a little break. There are about 2000 acres of parks and green spaces all around the city. Probably the most beautiful and famous park is Abbey Park, where young and old people relax.
If you are a huge art fan, Leicester is just the perfect place to visit. The city’s New Walk Museum and Art Gallery is full of people interested in art. Close to the Museum you will find one of the 20 libraries. Feel free to go in there and explore the huge amounts of books. You will definitely lose track of time there, because once you’re in, you never want to leave.
Leicester is also famous for its evening events. There is always music coming out and buskers playing in the street to make the people in the city feel comfortable. To sum up: Leicester is just a really friendly place to be!
