The district for party people, day and night.
Plaza Santa Ana is the first place you will come to in the entertainment district. It is surrounded by tavernas, bars and pubs. Huertas has an unofficial name as well though: Barrio de las Letras. Some of the greatest Spanish poets of the 17th century used to live here.

Great area for shopping, drinking and eating!
Huertas in the weekend of the Madrid-bear is going on: a bar next to the other, crowds of people until the wee hours on the streets!
Cocktails highly recommended: rooftop bar of the ME Hotel (Plaza St. Ana) with great views over the city!
