The blindingly white basilica high above the city on Montmartre hill seems almost unreal. The building was erected as a national memorial after France's defeat at the hands of Germany during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871.

situata nello splendido quartiere fi montematre... si puó ammirare parigi dall'alto!
beautiful, views from here over Paris are dreamy. No pictures inside fyi. lovely gardens nearby as well.
der Platz, die Farben, all das ist genual und man muss es selbst "live" erspüren!
Aber Achtung: gerade hier in den kleinen Gassen sind die organisierten Trickbetrüger emsig.
This beautiful basilica sits atop a hill in Montmartre and affords beautiful views. Wander down the north side of the hill and you may stumble upon a vineyard.
A lot of tourists, but a must-see sight in Paris that offers a great view!
How could one possibly dislike such a magical place, I go there every time I come to Paris.
Near Sacré-Cœur is a artist market, where, for the first time in my life, I used my french skills. It worked =) I took a beautiful painting back home to Dresden =)
The biggest bell in France (around 18 tones heavy) is located in the bell tower of the Sacre Care Basilica, which is located in the top of the hill of Montmartre (ButteMontmartre) on the North side of Paris and 129 meters over the Seine River.
One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. Already the way up there is very charming with its narrow streets. Here you also find many souvenir shops.
For religious and non religious travellers, the Basilica is a must see in Paris! One of the best views to the city and amazing for architecture lovers!
It's just beautiful at Sacré-Cœur - very french
the best place to hang out and get a view over the city. explore the small streets around here away from the tourist masses!
