Louis XIV and Napoleon were fans of Cancales oysters. Today, these desirable fruits of the sea are still cultivated in this pleasant port town, in an area of over 380 ha. Everything about oyster cultivation can be seen at the Musée des Huîtres at St Kerber Oyster Park on Plage de l'Aurore.
