In 1969, the Suomalainen brothers blew a hole in the granite rock for an underground church - a masterpiece of expressionist architecture. 5 to 8 m high bare rock walls surround the chamber, which is covered by a 13 m high dome spire made from copper plates, glass and concrete ribs.
