The Royal Family's home.
Frederik V came up with the idea of building four palaces around the octagonal Amalienborg Palace Square. When Christiansborg Castle burned down in 1794 and Christian VI became homeless, the royal family bought the four palaces.

One of the Royal houses, this one used in winter by the Royal family. It's about 7 minutes walking from the Metro station Kongens Nytorv. Recommend Cafe Oscar to have a break.
