This town on the fjord was founded in the 12th century. A large part of the historic Old Town survived the fire in the 17th century - the most delightful half-timbered buildings can be found on Slotsgade. In the Gothic cathedral, the baptismal font from 1485 and the altar crucifix with apostle figures made from alabaster are worth seeing.
