The delightful town houses and captain houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries bear testament to the former wealth of this port, which is still important today. In the old heart of town you will also find Sct. Nikolai church with a late-Romanesque baptismal font. The ships in a bottle at Aabenraa Museum are well worth seeing.
