Ribe, which was founded in around 700, boasts over 100 listed buildings. A visit takes you through a fantastic ensemble of half-timbered buildings to the cathedral, dating from 1150. There are several fascinating museums, including "Ribes Vikinger" with exhibitions on the Middle Ages and Viking era.
