This spot is picturesquely located between tree-clad slopes and the sea. It is held to be one of the prettiest towns on the Costa Brava, not least because of its preserved medieval old town with 80 historic stone houses, enclosed by the town walls built between the 12th and 14th centuries.
Typically Spanish tourist with a good dose of local color. Church and Old Town on a rock on the beach which opens with a lighthouse on top are worth seeing. Parking at the beach for a fee, depending on the length of stay, possible. Glass bottom boat rides available. Restaurants qualitatively different below the old town. Purchase of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes: Compare prices absolutely!
