Kampot is a city in Cambodia.
The city is a quiet riverside town just a few kilometers from the Gulf of Thailand. It makes a good basecamp for exploring Bokor National Park and the Bokor Hill Station. The former French resort is now in ruins and can be reached by pickup truck, dirtbike or bicycle. The beachtown of Kep is also only about an hour away.
