The symbolic emblem of Freiburg featuring a 116 m tower.
The minster "Of Our Dear Lady", built from red sandstone which gleams magnificently in the sunshine, is one of the masterpieces of Gothic architecture in Germany. There are Renaissance features in the choir stalls, which are flooded with light. The high altar is a masterpiece by Hans Baldung Grien.
